Income Eligibility for Affordable (Tax Credit) Apartments
Affordable apartment homes are available to the general public for households that meet income and standard screening requirements. No referral is needed unless noted for a specific program.
How Eligibility Works
To qualify for a tax credit apartment, your households gross annual income must fall within limits established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These limits are tied to the Area Median Income (AMI) for the region and adjust based on household size. This community offer homes reserved for households earning under 50% or 60% of AMI.
What This Means for You
Your household income determines which income-restricted apartments you may qualify for. During the application process, property management will verify income and complete all standard screening steps required by program guidelines.
Income Limit Chart
The table below lists the maximum annual income allowed for each household size at various AMI levels. Find your household size and compare your gross annual income to the amount shown. If your income is at or below the maximum for that level, you may be eligible for an apartment in that category.
